The Ottawa Paw Pantry is currently recruiting a Delivery Logistics Coordinator (volunteer position) to review driver role and responsibilities with delivery driver candidates, guide applicants through on-boarding process, assign and coordinate with volunteers to ensure monthly deliveries have been completed.

Our driver volunteers are at the core of our service and enable us to deliver to our clients. This role will have a major impact on our day-to-day operations and capacities. The Delivery Logistics Coordinator will work closely with the Logistics Manager and Volunteer Manager.


  • Review and contact potential volunteer drivers with the help of the Volunteer Manager
  • Ensure drivers have completed the non-disclosure agreement and police record check prior to beginning.
  • Flags potential conflicts or problems to the Logistics Manager and aids in finding solutions.
  • Liaises with the Logistics Manager to identify areas where volunteer drivers are needed
  • Provide onboarding for new drivers, such as walking them through the pickup process at the storage unit

  • Access to phone and computer on a regular basis to communicate with volunteers
  • Working knowledge of a smartphone and Google Docs preferred
  • Strong volunteer-facing communication skills
  • Tact and diplomacy, ability to assess and make decisions on the spot
