Host a Pet Food Drive

It’s back! Bowlful of Heart is our annual holiday pet food drive and it’s about to kick off. This month long event in December will help us replenish supplies of pet food. Sustained entirely by donations, the Ottawa Paw Pantry provides a lifeline for over 100 low-income pet parents in times of need.

When finances are stretched, especially around the holidays, families can be forced to choose between feeding themselves or their pets. In this situation even greatly loved pets are often surrendered to shelters.  Although it is wonderful to provide donations to pet shelters and rescues, we want to help families before they have to make the choice to give up their pets.

Hold your own food drive

While we get ready to officially launch, we continue to look for more places looking to help.

We’re always looking for new locations to hold a pet food drive on our behalf. Whether you’re looking for a team-building activity around the holidays or have a business, get in touch with us and we’ll make sure you have what you need to be festive and bright.

Pet food drives do not have to be public. If you are a public business, think of it as another way to get some people through your doors who may not have otherwise popped in!

Get creative and decorate a box and use the provided poster to help make sharing and collecting easy. All you have to do is give us a shout when your box is full and we'll be there to pick-it up, just like Santa's elves.
